  • BIMI usually requires enforced DMARC (p=quarantine or p=reject) before logo display is considered.
  • Confirm the SVG is BIMI-compatible SVG Tiny PS and hosted over HTTPS before publishing.
  • A BIMI record cannot guarantee mailbox-provider logo display, certificate approval, reputation eligibility, or inbox placement.
  • Some mailbox providers require a VMC or CMC PEM URL before BIMI logo display is considered.
  • Run the BIMI checker before publishing this DNS change.

How to use the candidate

BIMI is a brand-logo signal that builds on authenticated mail. Review SPF, DKIM, and DMARC alignment first, then decide whether the domain is ready for enforced DMARC before publishing BIMI.

The generator creates a TXT candidate at a selector such as default._bimi.example.com. The l= tag points to an HTTPS SVG logo file, and the optional a= tag points to a VMC or CMC PEM file when your provider or certificate workflow requires it.

This is not a trademark, certificate, inbox-placement, or logo-display guarantee. Treat it as a review draft for your DNS owner, brand/legal owner, and email administrator.

BIMI generator FAQ

Can I publish BIMI with DMARC p=none?

Do not assume so. BIMI programs usually expect DMARC enforcement with p=quarantine or p=reject, often applied at 100 percent.

Do I need a VMC or CMC certificate URL?

Some providers require a certificate-backed PEM file before logo display is considered. Requirements vary by provider and can change, so review the current mailbox-provider guidance before publishing.

Will this make my logo show in inboxes?

No. The record is only one input. Mailbox providers can also evaluate provider support, reputation, certificate status, SVG formatting, and brand eligibility.
